As some of you may know, I was the Co-Chair of this year's 44 Women for Children Scholarship Luncheon. For those of you unfamiliar with what we do, you can read all about it here.This year we welcomed the one, the only, Ms. Carrie Fisher as our guest speaker. She was gracious, fabulous, and had everyone in stiches the entire time she was on stage! I must admit she rattled some of the more conservative cages in the crowd, but she was so hilarious while doing it that I don't think anyone minded one bit!
I am still awaiting final numbers, but my gut tells me we raised more than we did last year, or so I hope!! It was an honor to lead this committee of extraordinary women and to say this was a day I won't soon forget is an absolute understatement!
