As you may, or may not know, I spent a number of years in England where December 26th is Boxing Day. For those of you that do not know the history behind it, there are many theories, but the one I heard most often centered around servants and serfs having to work for their lords and ladies on Christmas Day. Because of this, they would get the day after Christmas off and their masters would box up the left-overs for them to share with their families. So as you can see, it really is a working (wo)man's holiday.
I do hope that each and every one of you had a lovely holiday season, and even though I am no longer in England, this working girl is taking one more day off to spend with my family.
